Millennium Tapestry - Holy Trinity Church

Description:
Tapestry designed and made by the community in the Langdale Valleys to mark the Millennia. It depicts the formation and history of the valleys. The tapestry is hung in the church which is open during daylight hours. Guides will be present on the Sat and Sun.

Description:
The Jerwood Centre is a storage and research building next to Dove Cottage, home of the poet William Wordsworth. It houses more than 70,000 books, manuscripts, paintings and objects. Not normally open to the public, the curatorial team are offering guided tours of the building and collection.
Directions:
Dove Cottage and the Jerwood Centre are just S of Grasmere village on the main A591, 4 miles N of Ambleside. The car park is just off the main A591 in front of the 'Villa Columbina' restaurant and tea-room
