About the Education Team

Ann Todd , Education Manager
Ann has always been passionate about Learning, teaching both in the UK and abroad. History and Architecture were always favourite subjects, and in 1995 she was able to employ her skills and interests to become involved in Heritage Education.

Working firstly at the Tower of London, then, as London Region Education officer at English Heritage, she has worked to provide guidance and to facilitate projects, both at sites and in the wider historic built environment. In 2002 Ann became English Heritage’s Head of Education. She is delighted to now take over the post of Heritage Open Days Education Manager for the Civic Trust.

Ann believes that HODs are a marvellous opportunity to encourage young people to develop enthusiasm for our heritage. HODs allows them the chance to engage with their own neighbourhoods, enabling them to discover how relevant and important their environment is in their lives and why it is worth celebrating and preserving .
